May 30, 2018 will mark the 150th Anniversary of Memorial Day with the issuing of Gen. Logan’s Order No. 11 designated “for the purpose of strewing with flowers or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country.” It is our charge and duty as Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War to honor and remember our veterans and their families and to bring the stories of their service to the public. I encourage you to take time over the holiday to attend or participate in a Memorial Day Observance program in your are. The following are Memorial Day events in the areas of our camps.
